Photo: oplus_1048576Several meter high piles of nutrient-rich garden compost were raided shovelful by shovelful at 11 of ARGO's recycling centres today. This happened when hundreds of people with trailers and shovels rolled into the local recycling centre for this year's Compost Day and filled their trailers with free compost soil for the garden. A total of 5,000 tonnes of compost.
The compost is made from branches and leaves from the garden and park waste we receive at the recycling centres. The compost is highly nutritious and must be diluted before you use it. You can read more about how to use the compost in our guide here.
If you want to get your hands on our free compost soil, you still have time. On Sunday, April 13, we are holding a compost day at the recycling centres in Høng and Store Heddinge from 9:00 - 17:00. The next compost day is the weekend before Easter 2026.
