Now you can donate or pick up everything from used building materials, furniture and household items to cookware, electronics and toys. All for free. This will happen when ARGO and Stevns Municipality open a brand new recycling concept at the recycling centres in Hårlev and Store Heddinge on October 5 and 6 at 12:00.
The official opening of the two new areas will take place at the recycling centre in Hårlev on Saturday, October 5 at 12:00, where Flemming Petersen, Chairman of the Committee for Planning, Environment and Technology in Stevns Municipality, will cut the red ribbon. ARGO and Stevns Municipality will also serve a hotdog to everyone who has downloaded the "Direct Reuse" app.
How to donate and take reusable items
In the new area, individuals, companies, organizations and associations can donate or pick up reusable items. When you donate items, place each item on the appropriate shelf so they are visible and accessible to others who would like to have them. When you pick up items, you don't have to donate items at the same time. Instead, you need to download the Direct Reuse app and register your recycling finds in the app before you take them with you. ARGO uses the registrations to calculate how muchCO2 you and others are helping to save.
The concept is already a great success at other recycling centres
ARGO has already opened the same concept at the recycling centres in Jyllinge, Kalundborg, Roskilde and Viby. A great success with many enthusiastic visitors. More than 6,000 people have downloaded the app, and in the first three months alone, 14,235 reusable items have found a new home. ARGO expects to open the concept at ARGO's other recycling centres on Zealand during the fall and winter of 2024/25.
