The sun is shining, the warm season is approaching, and that often invites you to do some major tidying and sorting at home. If you are left with items that you no longer need in your home, you can take them to the Direct Reuse tent(or containers) at your recycling centre. Here you can give your items the opportunity to find a new life in the hands of others.
On Saturday 22 March at 12:00 noon, together with Køge Municipality, we open Direct Reuse at Køge recycling centre. In the new area, private individuals, companies, organizations and associations can donate or collect reusable items.
When donating items, put each item on the right shelf. If you've been spring cleaning and sorting through your home, take the items you no longer need and pass them on to others who can benefit from your old items.
When picking up items, register your recycling finds in the Direct Reuse app before you take them with you.
On Saturday, we're having a big opening party in Køge when we inaugurate our new Direct Reuse tent. To make the traffic on the site run as smoothly as possible during the opening party, we will move the entrance and exit to the site. If you're dropping off waste on Saturday, from 11:45 to 15:00 there will be an entrance and exit just to the right of the current gates.
If you're one of the many people who want to join the opening party, please note that parking is limited. If you come by car, we recommend that you park on the right side of the road from Tangmosevej to the entrance to the site. This will hopefully ensure through traffic in both directions.
